

Preparation:
Download one of this disk imager apps
Download my disk image file Slideshow.zip (11,3 GB)
Copying image file to SD card:
Insert a 16Gb micro sd card on your computer
BalenaEtcher: select image file Slideshow.zip, make sure your SD card is the target and Flash
ApplePi-Baker: Choose the SD card and select restore File to Disk select the image file Slideshow.zip
Adding pictures for your slideshow:
Connect a keyboard and mouse to the Raspberry-pi and power on
Insert a USB stick with your pictures (FAT32)
When running this SD card on your Raspberri Pi 3 or Zero the slideshow is automatically launched.
Press escape to cancel the slideshow
Right click the mouse button and go to Applications/Utilities/Filemanager PCManFM
go to Pictures/Slides
Trash any pictures you don’t want and copy your new pictures from the USB stick in here.
It’s wise to rescale the picture to the max resolution of your screen or projector beforehand but it’s not obligatory
Changing cycling speed:
Go to /home/pi
Open runslideshow.sh in the plain text editor (doubleclick-Open)
Change the numeric value behind D (do not delete any spaces)
Save and close the file

for authoring and testing the raspberry pi 3/4 is handy because of the wifi and normal usb connections, the micro sd card can be swapped between both models. The zero is somewhat slower but smaller & cheaper!
